So the final countdown has begun... I can't believe that in 3 1/2 weeks I will be getting married! This is crazy!
The last 4 weeks have really been a blur. We had campmeeting and our first bridal shower the day after that... Campmeeting was a blast... I got to catch up with my oldest friend {that sounds so funny to me... ;)}, spend time with my best friend and my nephews... I really enjoyed getting to spend time with my sister... Hopefully I can do that at least one more time before getting married. Our showers were really nice. Thank you so much to everyone that came and spent time with me and for giving the showers! That meant the world to me!
As we have sat back and reflected on what we are going to have during the ceremony and gotten things ready for our slideshow I have thought a lot about the people in our lives and what they mean to us. Thanks to everyone who has been there for us and supported us.
Now if I can stop running into doors and tripping and falling... I will be fine...

Invitations
Ok so we ordered our invitations on Saturday in hopes that they would be here by Friday of this week so that we could send them out in the next week. I went online yesterday to find out where it was in the shipping process... only to find out that it was still processing. So I called them after work last night and spent 30 mins on the phone with the customer service dept {on hold} only to find out in 45 seconds that I didn't put the zip code on the outer envelopes. WHAT!!! Anyway they are shipping those out today or tomorrow at the latest.
If this is the only thing that I have to worry about... I think that I am doing good... =)

Updates
So my sister in law informed me that I never update my blog and that I really needed to do this... lol... I know I said that I didn't know how often that I could do this... because my life is just not that interesting.... =)
So my dress came in last week and my sleeves were finished yesterday! I am so excited. We ordered the invitations and they are going to be here by the end of the week, with them being sent out by the end of next week. I will be wrapping bubbles tonight after work... IF I can figure out how to do this by myself. The other time that I tried this it didn't work out so well. I have ordered Stephen's ring and we finished the last of our registries on Saturday night.
I can't believe that it is only 9 weeks away... AAAHHH!!! =)

M.I.A.
So I have been gone for the last couple of weeks from the blogging world.... I told you in the beginning that I would not be good at this... lol....
I have been so busy planning and doing so many other things that I just haven't taken the time to blog.... That and my life just is not that exciting.
So Stephen is gone for the next 2 weeks preaching out and his mom, brother, aunt, grandparents, and cousins are in Florida for the week... It seems like that everybody is out of town this week.... =( It is kind of lonely....
I haven't slept well for the last couple of nights knowing that he is more that just 10 mins and a phone call away.....
Anyway.... Just thought that I would stop by and update for just a moment. Hopefully I will have more to blog about and something more interesting the next time.... =)

Sunday School
I had the AWESOME privilege to teach around 30 kids in Sunday School for the month of April. I learned so much from them and had a BLAST teaching them. This month I just get to be the other teachers helper, but I am having fun with this too.... =) Every Sunday after class we get up and sing a song or two.... This was a few Sundays ago, but I thought that I would share the pictures.... =)

Car Accident....
So I was involved in a one car accident on Friday...
My car hydroplaned off the road into a light pole in the ditch. The witness behind me said that I should not have walked away from the wreck and that I must be very lucky. I told him no that I am just VERY blessed. He was very nice to stop and make sure that I was ok and to get me out of the car because he was afraid that lighting would strike the light pole and my car would be hit as well. Mike (the nice witness man) stayed with me until Stephen's dad could get there.
Mike (remember the little witness man) said that as I was coming out of the curve that my car started sliding to the right and then I went to the left (I know that you are just supposed to let it go the same direction, but I was really SCARED!) and then it slid to the right again. He said that I spun around a couple of times and then took out one guard wire on the light pole, hit the light pole with the front right side of the car, and then the back bumper got caught on the light pole. (see why he wanted me out of the car??? not to mention that my car was sitting in about 5 inches of water...) This is the FIRST wreck that I have ever had and the last one that I ever want to have.
Mike said that my car was headed straight for the light pole, but something happened and it went off to the side....
So this has been a really bad week... Wednesday night Stephen pulled a muscle in his back and was down and had to go to the doctor on Thursday and then I wrecked on Friday morning... So we were both kind of out of commission for the latter part of the week.... BUT we did have an AWESOME revival. =)

****ENGAGED****
Ok so I know that this post is a few days late... Ok make that a couple of weeks late.... but it has been hard to get around to posting this with everything going on.
So for those of you who do not know the story here it is....
Friday March 27th I was leaving from work a little early, because we had our Spring Conference that night and I had to go home and get ready, on my way home I called Stephen just to talk to him. We were talking when he said that he was going to get up and give thanks to everyone that had been a part of getting this together and at that time that we were going to give honor to our pastor and pastor's wife. He said that he had some roses that he wanted me to come up on stage and give to her when he got up there to start talking {it should have been obvious from this point}. I told him that I would only after he told me that no one else would help him with this. lol... During this time I had been aggrevating him over some stuff that we had been talking about and told him that he had told me that he would be proposing within the next 4 weeks about 3 weeks prior to this conversation. He told me that I needed to stop thinking about it that I would ruin anything that he had planned. He also told me at this point that he would need about a two week extention because the place that he wanted to do this at was not ready yet. So I said ok hung up the phone and went home to get ready. When I arrived at the school I was talking to everyone and he walked up, handed me the roses and asked me to hold them. After this point I don't think that I saw him again until he got up on the stage. While walking around holding the roses, people kept coming up to me telling me how pretty the roses were, all the while I was telling them that they were not mine.... {yeah I felt really stupid at the end of the night}.... so we go in the auditorium to get ready for the concert and I make sure that I am on the outside so that I don't have to go crawling over anyone to get out to go on the stage and made sure that I was close enough so that I didn't make a big scene to walk down the aisle. After the concert was over just before the preacher got up, Stephen's dad got up there to talk for a moment before Stephen {I would later find out that he was the one who took the ring up there}..... So when I saw Stephen go up there and start talking I made my way up to the stage to stand off on the side where no one could see me {although they all saw me walk up there and hide....} Anyway.... Man this is turning into a long story..... He starts thanking everyone and then he was talking about Bro and Sis Snowden and how when young men start to look for a wife that they should put the girl up against Sis Snowden. {In my mind at this point a very quick thought ran through my head that it was really weird that he would mention this tonight... but oh well... } So then he looked at me and told me to walk on out there. I walked out there and was looking at the Snowden's just smiling and they are looking at me smiling and I was wondering what was going on. It took a few seconds for me to realize that they were not coming up on the stage for this. He then began to say that when he started looking for a wife that he found the closest possible thing to Sis Snowden.... At this point he pulled the ring out from the pulpit {which his dad had taken up there and hidden for him}.... Once he did this everyone in the room stood up and started yelling.... I on the other hand started backing away from him shaking my head because I could not believe that he was doing this here on the stage in front of everyone... That's when he looked at me and asked me to come back over there or he would chase me to ask me.... lol.... He said some of the sweetest things and then got down on one knee and asked me to marry him.... And the rest is history.... We are getting married in September and I can't wait.... The Case Of The Missing Voice....
dum dum dum.... (ok so that was supposed to be music.... lol)
So Friday morning I woke up and my voice was a little scratchy and my throat was a little sore, so I thought nothing to worry about, right???? WRONG! By 8:45 that morning I sounded like a deaf person trying to talk.... (I am not making fun, this is just how I sounded.... just ask my sister) I went all day long like this.... not fun....
Saturday Morning - Surely it will be back to normal.... I haven't talked for at least the last 8 hours... so I should be good... not so much... just not happening.... so on this day I talked barely above a whisper...
Sunday Morning - great Leadership meeting at the church this morning.... still can't talk... Heather, tell us how music is going when is the chorale starting?.... (deaf person talking here) "It will start this Tuesday night...." (Ok so at this point people are looking at me like I am retarded and pitiful as well.... great feeling) Yep I am your music director... I promise that when we sing and I teach you the parts it won't sound like this .... hopefully????
Monday - So surely after 4 days my voice should be back to normal and all the little old people that call into work on Monday's should be able to hear me.... not a chance... spent the whole day on voicemails hoping to get well soon..... tonight went and ate with family and promised to go to the nurse practitioner today if I didn't sound any better.
Tuesday - woke up @ 6:00 because I was supposed to have something ready for Stephen to pick up (and had forgotten about it.... oops) grabbed the phone to find out just how long I had before he got there and miraculously THE VOICE IS BACK!!!!!!
Oh my goodness you don't know just how happy I am... I will never take my voice for granted again... I don't think that the people around me will ever be this happy to hear me talk again.... lol... Stephen said that he couldn't wait until I could talk normal again... (I told him that it was annoying.... lol... he didn't believe me until a couple of days later... )
Anyway... fun fun...
So we finally got the washer and dryer installed in the house and had to change the cord (Thanks David for the phone advice!) so glad to have a way to wash clothes at my house... I didn't think that I would ever be so happy to do laundry in my life....
so until next time...

Oh my goodness.... Finally had time to sit down and blog for a moment......
Tonight we are heading to Nashville to pick up the living room furniture and mattresses for my house and various other things. So again no rest tonight.... I may be able to make up for it all this weekend.... maybe.... =)
So as soon as my furniture is in the house I promise to post pictures. =)

Update....
Sorry I have been away from this for a few days....
So Sunday we went to Nashville for church and to celebrate Stephen's birthday (pics to come) {I keep saying that don't I?}. We had a really good time and got to spend time with some of the people who mean the most to us.
Let's see.... what else is going on.....
Not a whole lot.... just trying to get everything moved into the house and get use to the sounds and creaks of the house.... When you go somewhere new it takes just a little while to get adjusted.....
Other than that nothing else is going on.... Just everyday adventures.... =)

25 Random Facts About Me
And yes I did steal this from my sister.... :)
1. I am very OCD about certain things, like when I pack all the things in my suitcase have to go in there a certain way and I pack weeks in advance.
2. Unlike my sister (who has AMAZING hair) I love to fix my hair. I absolutely hate straight hair on me, on certain other people I think that it's pretty.
3. I love black & white photography.
4. My sister is my best friend and knows absolutely everything about me.
5. I am a watch fanatic.
6. I love clothes, shoes, purses, and hats..... although I don't wear them much any more..... =(
hats... I don't wear hats much anymore..... =)
7. I LOVE to tan..... I just started back and I have come to realize that I need to ease back into it so that I don't get burnt.... lol
8. I wish that I could go get manicures and pedicures all the time...... I love to sit in that chair and let them massage my feet....
9. I really like to cook, I just wish that I had more time for it.
10. My nephews and nieces are the cutest kids ever.... Seriously just ask me.....
11. I had the chance to go the Bahamas on a cruise.... it was the most amazing trip ever.
12. I went white water rafting this past year and fell out of the boat and got trapped under another boat.... I still don't like to be near water.... and I still can't feel the ends of 2 of my fingers.
13. I found a horse that is printed like a giraffe one day last week and I have been obsessed with finding it every day since then..... so far I haven't seen it except for once.
14. Pink is my absolute favorite color, but I love color on anything.....
15. I love my sisters Christmas sweaters... I wish that I had some..... =)
16. I am the music minister at my church and I love it....
17. I LOVE McDonald's Sweet Tea.
18. I have an obsession with calendars, pens, and notebooks..... I keep at least 2 calendars on me at all times.....
19. I am the baby of 13 years.
20. I really miss my dad and wish that I could talk to him just one more time.
21. I really can't stay mad for more than 10 minutes. I try I just can't do it. If I am mad then you know it.
22. I love polka dotted things... or really pretty much anything patterned.
23. I like to color in coloring books. I would always take my nephews and color in them for them. Man I miss them..... =)
24. If I am really tired anything can make me hyper and then I go into this crazy hyper state.
25. If I am really tired and go to sleep and someone calls me, I don't remember the phone call.... My sister called me to tell me about my nephew and I never even knew that I had talked to her. I felt horrible the next day.

First Post
Ok so I have started this post so many times, but have never completed it. I thought that I would give this a try and I won't promise that I will keep it up as regularly as people would like. I will only give you insight into the things that I think are important (or that my sister thinks that are important - as long as they can be shared on here ;))
So any I have been at this new job now for a month and a half and I love it. I am really missing the people that I use to work with but the people that I work with now are awesome as well.
I am really missing my family right now...... :(
